Position 1. E-commerce Manager

Fluffy Bottom Babies is an independent retailer, both brick and mortar and online, born in Bedford, Nova Scotia in 2011!

We specialize in hand-picked unique baby and children’s products, including: eco-friendly and sustainable feeding items, modern cloth diapers, safe baby carriers, natural skincare products, non-plug toys as well as stylish handmade clothing and footwear for children up to 6 years of age.

Because we are a growing company there is lots of room for advancement! We are looking for one energetic, friendly and ambitious individual who possesses a combination of technical aptitude and creativity to join our team as a full time E-commerce Manager. 

Responsibilities:

As part of a passionate team, you will be responsible for driving online sales and executing promotions with our products; you will also offer knowledgeable and thoughtful assistance to retail and wholesale customers. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of related sales/account management experience and has a very strong background in e-commerce and online sales. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and observe market trends to identify customer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors  sales activities,

• Based on studies and observations, determine products and services to be sold, implement price and credit policies,

• Formulate and implement online sales and marketing strategies,

• Identify opportunities to optimize our online presence through SEO, social promotions, branding opportunities, etc. 

• Create online surveys to evaluate and improve customer service and provide online support to respond to customer requests and issues,

• Analyze site metrics, customer feedback, and other related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and drive revenue growth across product categories,

• Work with the team to design pricing structures, promotions, and packages,

• Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale,

• Set budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor online revenues,

• Take charge of staff recruitment, development and retention

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Bachelors degree

• 2+ years related on-line sales or related work experience

•  Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset.

• Strong experience with E-commerce platforms and contents

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong planning and time management skills

• Ability to multitask in high volume environment

• Knowledge and experience with online, retail, merchandising or product development processes
 
• Proficient in Excel

    Working hours:

    30-40 hours/ week

    Salary: 24.5/hr

    Position 2. Sales & Marketing Specialist

    Successful candidates will have:
    • At least 3-5 years of online sales and marketing experience, channel sales experience an asset.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Completion of secondary school is required.
    • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset.
    • Computer skills (word, excel is a must).
    Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
    • Conduct research on industry and market trends, sales results, and other related information to identify new opportunities to engage with existing and new clients,
    • Evaluate existing marketing materials, social media and advertising, determine the effectiveness and provide suggestions on improvements,
    • Analyses competitor activities and effects on sales,
    • Assist E-commerce Manager to design website contents and establish online sales and marketing channels to overseas markets, mainly in China (e.g. Alibaba, Taobao,Tmall etc.),
    • Work within the budget to produce effective promotional materials and advertising opportunities,
    • Assist E-commerce Manager to develop and implement online sales and marketing objectives, strategies, and suitable promotion plans,
    • Promote our products, and deliver sales to customers,
    • Track sales and feedback and make suggestions on sales and marketing strategy adjustments,
    • Rearrange website appearance for promotions or upon requests,
    • Build rewarding customer relationships with new customers by providing first-time discounts, and maintain positive relationships with existing customers by providing monthly online coupons,
    • Deliver knowledgeable and thoughtful online support to customers: answer their questions about our products and help them find the right solution,
    • Provide order tracking number to customers in-time,
    • Resolve customer complaints; ensure a high level of customer satisfaction rate,
    • Participate in ongoing product knowledge trainings,
    • Perform regular inventory checks and update online stocks,
    • Etc.
    Working hours: 30-40 hours per week (negotiable)
    Wage: $18/hour
